Usage (Indication)
Treatment of infections caused by drug-sensitive bacteria in the following locations: Upper respiratory tract: tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis media; Lower respiratory tract, such as exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, lobar pneumonia and bronchitis; Gastrointestinal tract: such as typhoid fever; Urinary tract – genital: such as pyelonephritis – pyelonephritis, gonorrhea, infectious miscarriage or obstetric infection. Infections such as sepsis, endocarditis and drug-sensitive bacterial meningitis should be treated initially with a high dose of parenteral treatment and, if possible, in combination with another antibiotic. Prophylaxis of endocarditis: Amoxicillin can be used to prevent bacteremia that may develop endocarditis.
